HGHumanistMyeongjo is a serif typeface that retains the essence of traditional Myeongjo while incorporating a human, handcrafted feel into its structure. It was designed as an attempt to move away from the increasingly mechanical and standardized tendencies seen in the modernization of Myeongjo typefaces. Its most distinctive feature lies in the subtle curves and angled variations of the horizontal strokes, reflecting natural writing habits. The overall Hangul design is harmonized to fit within this structural module.

The family consists of three weights, each suitable for text, emphasis, or headings. It includes 2,350 Hangul glyphs along with an additional 506 supplementary glyphs. Since all glyphs across weights share the same width, designers can easily align text to a grid in layout work. The Latin characters are likewise designed in the structure and form of traditional serif typefaces, carefully proportioned and balanced to harmonize with the Hangul design.
